The history of the Balvenie distillery began in 1892. None other than William Grant was responsible for the construction of the buildings in Dufftown, Speyside. More than 100 years later, the team, consisting of farmers, maltsters, coppersmiths, cooper and master distillers, sticks to traditions and Scottish handicrafts. They all ensure that the Balvenie whiskeys taste the way they taste: from the malt used to the shape of the still, to the ripening process, numerous factors have an impact on the end result.
