Giancarlo Zanatta, a young entrepreneur and boot manufacturer from Montebelluna, Italy, is visiting New York and sees the live broadcast of the moon landing with the rest of the world. Taken by the historic moment and inspired by the special shape and technology of the astronaut boots, he creates a sketch of what is to become one of the greatest successes of the shoe industry, and after his return to Italy, he and his team design and develop the original Moon Boots.
