On was born in the Swiss Alps. The company On was founded in January 2010 in Zurich by the former professional athlete Olivier Bernhard and his friends David Allemann and Caspar Coppettihaben.
Their mission is to develop a product range characterized by Swiss engineering. It's all about a radical idea: soft landings followed by explosive crashes. Or, as they like to say: running like on clouds.
Already in February 2010, the developed prototypes won an ISPO BrandNew Award, one of the most important awards for innovative sporting goods.
For the next eight years, On has captured the hearts and feet of more than three million runners in over 50 countries. And the triumph is still far from over ...
