The origins of the Danish company A.H. Riise can be traced back to the pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise, who worked for the Danish Navy between 1838 and 1878 and during this time cut a special rum for the sailors. The A. H. Riise distillery, originally founded as a pharmacy, is located on an island in the Caribbean called St. Thomas. Riise's great interest in botany helped him to develop his A.H. Burn giant rum from the exotic plants and herbs.
