In 1887, the owners of the wineries of Sánchez Romate began producing another and unique brandy for private consumption. Its quality is soon growing and the winery decides to market it under the name Cardenal Mendoza. Brandy Cardinal Mendoza, aged in boots by Jerez Wine, has an average age of 15 years, well above the minimum age. All fires are Solera Gran Reserva, the highest category in the Regulatory Council of the Brandy de Jerez. It is the royal house of the fires in the Spanish Marco de Jerez de la Frontera.
