The renowned sherry manufacturer Osborne is one of the oldest spirits and wine producers in all of Spain. The company is based in El Puerto de Santa María, in the middle of sunny Andalusia.
The manufacturer Osborne produces sherry for every taste - from dry and light to fruity to sweet. It gets its typical taste primarily from the dry Palomino Fino grape. The grapes grow on white limestone soils, called "Albarizas" in a triangle between the cities of Jerez dela Frontera, Puerto de Santa Maria and Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
During storage according to the so-called “Solera System”, the barrels are continuously filled with wine from more recent vintages after being removed about a third below the protective yeast blanket. The best wines pass through many rows of barrels for a few years, while at the same time the constant blending of old and younger wines creates a constant end product.
