Pernod Ricard's "51" pastis originated in Marseille, where the anise-based liqueur was born. Pastis 51 is made by maceration of liquorice powder in a mixture of anise, water, alcohol and sugar and has a very intense golden yellow color. In the nose it releases defined aromas of sweet spices, star anise and vanilla as well as aromatic sensations of thyme and rosemary.
